Complaining

I waited for over 2 weeks for things to settle down. My chest pain was still continuing. Then I wrote a letter to Jeffrey Klein, in which I decided not to put any blame on him since it will only make him more defencsive, and rather complained about unprofessionalism of Sumer Johal and politely asked him to make up for the underpayment of wages to me. I asked for a very reasonable rate of $60/hour so that we quickly get things behind us. Jeffrey Klein sent me a handwritten letter politely refusing to pay a single cent. I went ahead and formally complained to the California Fair Housing and Employment Department regarding the fact that I was hired as the subcontractor and at a lower wages compared to my colleague in the company. I claimed that this violation of Equal Pay Act (EPA) was because of my national origin (Indian) and ethnicity (East Indian).

Soon afterwards, I checked the company's web site and was upset to find that besides its usual lies, the company had a cool Advisors page which listed and described its 'advisors.' Having been fooled by such 'advisors' list when I joined this company to later find that these 'advisors' are listed in order to mislead others. I immediately emailed these 'advisors' to remove their names. I gave them 14 days to remove their names; got a threatening letter from the company, but the names were removed on the 14th day.

Xamplify's web site discussing their software that can detect money laundering appeared about 4 weeks later. I immeditely captured it. Also, after my complaint about Sumer Johal, he had been promoted from Chief Technology Officer to Executive Vice President.

However, it seems like the backers of the company consulted with their lawyers, and decided to remove Jeffrey Klein and Sumer Johal to protect themselves. The management changed around July of 2002.
