Hari Titan Responds (Third Time)

For a fair and balanced view (and I will strongly urge the readers to read his response before coming to a conclusion), unabridged content of email he sent on March 11, 2011 is as follows:

Kamal,

At Target you told me that you thought I got Chris' contact information on my own. Below is an email you sent me with his contact info clearly visible that supports my memory over yours on this point. The contact information is not hidden in the job posting which is another possibility you said might have happened. The job posting is a separate MS-Word document attachment.

You will also notice that I first contacted Chris after you sent me his contact information. In my wording to Chris I specifically ask him if the position is still open. This supports my memory that we knew you were rejected already because sometimes rejections occur at the end of a candidate search in which case the position would be closed. At the time I did not know Navarro's modus operandi of rejecting candidates until he finds one he likes.

You also have 2 different bizarre reasons for giving me his contact info and job description. At Target you said you asked me to wait until you knew your status. To Roopal today you told her that I was curious to see if the contract posting was also on the Wells Fargo HR career website. Contract postings are never done through Human Resources, they are always done through external recruiters or direct contact with hiring managers. Are you just making up these stories now?

Another obviously wrong story you made up to Roopal today is your contention that Chris is forced by law to reject candidates before presenting new candidates. This is a complete fabrication on your part. I have been in two situations where I was told I was the best candidate so far and explicitly not rejected but at the same time told that the search for a better candidate was going to continue because my own recruiter had submitted other candidates who had not yet been interviewed.

Then you came up with another bizarre position that I stole your job while admitting that you had a bad interview. If your status was unknown but you knew you had a bad interview, in your world view a rejection was pending and you had already lost the job. You did not lose the job "to me" but had lost the job period. Nobody stole the job from you and nobody other than Navarro made that decision.

Ordinarily we all have a hard time believing others are not lying when they contradict our memory of things. Since we've been friends in the past I grudgingly forced myself to accept that you may have a different memory and are not necessarily lying about me in retaliation for something else.

However today Roopal told me that you are very angry about me telling you to go back to India while you had high blood pressure. This is the first time I heard about your high blood pressure. I am sorry I upset you at that time. My intention was for you to get a job in India and pay off your credit card debt and have affordable health care while employed in India. At the time you said you were open to living in India but did not want to work there and wanted to continue to try your luck in the US. This had nothing to do with me thinking I was better than you. You said yourself that my financial situation is good and you said that you were in credit card debt.

You can use your high blood pressure to avoid personal or phone conversations and refer people to email contact with you. I am choosing this approach in respect for your medical condition. However it does not justify lying to me about being willing to use Chris' memory if I ask him about it and then reneging without an email response.

Your behavior so far has been completely self centered and falls under the narcissistic personality disorder.

Roopal observed that you are acting on a power trip and were unreasonable, failing to respect our collective memories being different than yours.

Friends do not treat friends this way.
